SOCH Youth
Object of SOCH Youth:
- Promote publication and dissemination of information on fundamental norms and values of Humanism along with non-violence, co-existence, co-operation, friendliness and mutual cooperation to encourage public understanding on these issues;
- Launch and cause launch of advocacy of human rights and human development based on Humanism to expand the practices of secularly human conducts and ethics;
- Conduct and cause to conduct non-violent, intellectual and awareness generating campaigns against racial and gender discriminations, superstitions, bad tradition and other types of unscientific and irrational social dogmas;
- Conduct and cause to conduct various programs related to Humanism jointly with other humanists organization throughout the world;
- Conduct and cause to conduct training, research or investigation or/and awareness or activation activities for the development of Humanism based on the values of democracy and rule of law;
- Support in causing different groups of faiths to develop mutual good will. Whereas the peaceful progresses of family, community and society would be achieved through sensible deal of co-existence, integrity and goodwill, it is desirable to promote humanist lifestyle and whereas it is expedient to establish and operate an organization for conducting humanistic campaigns among youths
You can join SOCH Youth if you meet following qualifications:
- agree on humanist declaration 2002
- Nepali citizen. (Not applicable for the Honorary Membership)
- Aged between 12- 35 yrs.
- Mentally Fit
- Not found guilt of misuse of public property.
- Not convicted for a charge of criminal offence of moral degradation and corruption.
- Ready to follow the Charter for the development of Humanism and fulfill the objective of the organization.
SOCH Youth is a full member of International Humanist and Ethical Youth Organisation (IHEYO), Belgium and Secular Student Alliance (SSA), USA
